About Carinya Heritage
Welcome to Carinya Heritage — where kiwifruit vines stretch toward the sun, avocado trees bear green-gold treasure, and chickens roam under citrus trees.
Tucked away in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, Carinya Orchard has been home to our family for over four decades. The name Carinya means peaceful home, and that’s exactly what this land has always been — a place where four generations have lived simply, worked hard, and shared what they’ve grown.
Our orchard is rich with kiwifruit, avocados, and heritage fruit trees that have fed not just our family, but our passion. Our children climb the trees we planted. Our chickens scratch beneath the leaves. And our kitchen? It’s always humming — fermenting sourdough, pickling summer produce, and pressing small batches of avocado oil by hand.
Carinya Heritage was born out of a desire to preserve the goodness of what we grow and share it with others who crave a return to real food and honest living. Our products reflect the rhythm of orchard life:
-
Cold-processed avocado oil, made from fruit that’s too good to waste
-
Sourdough starter, raised with orchard air and wild yeast
-
Preserves, pickles, and vinegars, inspired by seasonal abundance
This isn’t factory food. It’s orchard food — from a family who still believes that small is special, and handmade means something.
